12 Definitive WWE Attitude Era Matches

6. The Undertaker vs. Kane - WrestleMania XIV

There are few examples of WWE telling a more epic story than that of The Undertaker and Kane. Siblings separated by a traumatic fire that killed their parents, one going on to achieve great success as the most respected member of the WWE roster, the other locked away, hidden from public, his hideously disfigured face hidden by a mask straight out of a horror flick, Undertaker and Kane reunited for the first time in October 1997, the younger brother costing Undertaker the inaugural Hell in a Cell match against Shawn Michaels. For weeks, Kane tried to get his brother to fight him but a vow made to the spirits of his parents prevented WWE's greatest Phenom from striking the Big Red Monster. When Kane betrayed his brother, locking him in a casket and setting it ablaze, all promises were tossed aside. Undertaker made his return shortly thereafter and a match between the brothers, months in the making, was set in stone for WrestleMania XIV. On the grandest stage known to professional wrestling, the iconic heavyweights clashed in a battle befitting their story. It was a dramatic war that saw Kane nearly become the first blemish on his brother's WrestleMania record. In the end, Undertaker delivered three Tombstone piledrivers, bringing an end to the match and the first chapter of a rivalry that would be one of the definitive ones of the revolutionary Attitude Era.
