12 Early Predictions For Wrestle Kingdom 12
2. No Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega's future is completely unknown. After expressing his love for Japan and telling the fans he would never go "there", Kenny's loss to Okada at Wrestle Kingdom has left him disheveled and without a real clue as to what to do. He was banking entirely on taking New Japan into the future as its champion but when that concept disappeared at the Tokyo Dome, he left without making his intentions clear.
His intentions may indeed lie outside of the confines of NJPW. By the time Wrestle Kingdom 12 rolls around we could end up with the man who has essentially become the international face of Japanese wrestling nowhere to be seen. Omega has unfinished business in Japan (he never hit the One Winged Angel on Okada), but with this year's loss being as heartbreaking as it was, have we seen the last of The Cleaner in New Japan?
