12 Early Predictions For Wrestle Kingdom 12
9. More Faction Warfare
New Year's Dash allows NJPW to set the stage for the coming year of wrestling, and if this year's edition is a template for the next twelve months, we're going to see a great deal of Minoru Suzuki and his Suzuki-gun cronies. They burst back onto the scene after going on a warpath in Pro Wrestling NOAH, laying out the key members of the Chaos stable and staking their claim to every title on the go.
Wrestle Kingdom 11 was filled with tribal warfare between Chaos, Bullet Club, and Los Ingobernables de Japon, adding a sense of depth to the event as the factions jockeyed for dominance at the biggest show of the year. Wrestle Kingdom 12 will now have four stables going at it with Suzuki-gun looking to make their mark after missing out on the two previous Tokyo Dome shows.
Wrestlers competing for group success as well as individual success is one of the most intriguing devices which New Japan use in their storytelling, so look for it to be on full display once again next year.
