12 Early Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 35

2. The Undertaker Vs. AJ Styles

Triple H Conor McGregor

The Undertaker is wrestling, in some capacity, at MetLife Stadium.

There can be no doubt. It doesn't matter that his legacy is in danger of being obscured under the casket lid, or that his mobility is as limited as his presence. If he's wrestling at a glorified house show match at WrestleMania, he's wrestling in the MetLife.

WWE refused to make official Undertaker vs. John Cena at 'Mania 34 because the company was clued in to 'Taker's dire physical condition. Mystifyingly, 'Taker wrestled a longer and more competitive match against Rusev at Greatest Royal Rumble. Shooting for one last great match isn't that remote a possibility. There is but one man Phenomenal enough to sell and bump for the Dead Man, pulling off the feat without a hint of absurdity, and that man is AJ Styles.

In WWE's abject, superficial approach, it's probably sufficient to market this as Phenom vs. Phenomenal, have AJ Styles parrot this line constantly on SmackDown in 'Taker's absence, and we'll still anticipate it as a major attraction.

Less facetiously, SmackDown was the house 'Taker built throughout the 2000s. There is a certain continuity to explore here, and mythologising the brand itself is an astute narrative device ahead of moving house to Fox in 2020.
