12 Early Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 35

10. Shane McMahon Vs. Jeff Hardy

WrestleMania season breeds optimism that isn't altogether irrational. At this year's event, Daniel Bryan made his triumphant return in New Orleans, and Stephanie McMahon sold. 'Mania truly is magic, or at least it is until a small child shatters the illusion.

It is in this spirit that we predict an imminent Shane McMahon heel turn. Though not as appalling as he was throughout 2017, putting himself over as a bigger underdog than Daniel f*cking Bryan in New f*cking Orleans was surely the nadir of his arrogant hard-man babyface act. As unintentionally hilarious as the prospect of his selling a Shinsuke Nakamura c*ck shot is, it's time for the Boy Wonder to resurrect his wonderful bratty heel act.

Increasingly, 'Mania is predicated on the "Moment" - a distilled visual that substitutes for excellent storytelling. In parallel, WWE is equally high on a profoundly irritating assault of marketing.

And thus we come to Shane McMahon vs. Jeff Hardy: Daredevil vs. Daredevil, with the very set design conveniently assembled to see one or both men take a suicidal bump designed to determine which man is the most batsh*t bonkers.
