12 February WWE PPV Matches That Totally Sucked

11. Marc Mero Vs. Leif Cassidy (In Your House: Final Four)

Are there any two Superstars more pre-Attitude Era than "Wildman" Marc Mero and Leif Cassidy? Two white-bread characters that came as a result of Vince McMahon throwing anything (apparently even the dung of WCW's past) at the wall in hopes that it would stick, they kicked off the February 1997 In Your House: Final Four pay-per-view with what should have been a solid match at the very least. Instead, it was a meandering and lethargic bout that saw Mero pick up the win but suffering a debilitating knee injury in the process. What should have been a solid win that propelled the former Johnny B. Badd to WrestleMania (think about that for a second) instead cancelled all plans for a high-profile feud with Rocky Maivia over the affections of Sable. So not only did the match suck so hard it would fail to make the Best of Al Snow mix tape that Mick Foley so frequently discusses in his autobiographies, it resulted in the unfortunate injury of a guy who was finally starting to hit his stride as an in-ring worker in WWE. And, to add insult to injury, Sable eventually became four-times the star that her husband ever did, bruising Mero's ego to go along with his bum knee.
