Tricky: the Fabulous Freebirds' homeTOWN was the decidedly mundane Atlanta, Georgia, but they were always announced as coming from that city's fictional "Badstreet." It's supposed to be some post-apocalyptic ghetto war zone, but they listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was more convincing when John Cena said he was from "the streets."

Still, Michael Hayes was so committed to this terrible idea that he wrote and performed a song about Badstreet. Literally all the buzz around the Freebirds being the first "cool heels" in wrestling is 100% generated by people who have not seen the music video for "Badstreet, USA." Not to put too fine a point on it, but the Fabulous Freebirds were basically Your Dad In High School: The Tag Team.
