WWE's plans for WreslteMania 30 were clearly defined a year out: The Rock vs Brock Lesnar would be the big mainstream appealing main event. It was all set up that Rock would appear on Raw the night after WrestleMania 29 to facilitate this in an angle with Lesnar. It was rumoured that Rock would have been doing a segment in which Brock would attack him from behind. The reason it didn't happen was because Rock never showed up to the arena. He called Vince McMahon and informed him that he was instead flying back to Florida. This threw the WWE into disarray as they scrambled to rewrite Raw at the last minute. It was later revealed that Rock's absence was necessary because he had torn his abdominal and abductor tendons from his pelvis the night previous against John Cena at WrestleMania 29. Rock's agents had freaked out, no matter how much WWE paid, an injury to The Rock was a risk they couldn't afford to take with his movie shooting schedule. The Mania injury may well have done more than just stopping the Lesnar match, it may have resulted in Rock never wrestling again.
