12 HUGE WWE Clash Of Champions 2019 Predictions You Need To Know

9. AJ Styles (c) Vs Cedric Alexander

Stone Cold Steve Austin

AJ Styles bounced around like a buffoon for the good of the cause on Monday Night Raw - a Stone Cold Stunner at the start of a night that was bookended with a Lumbar Check at the end as Cedric Alexander had his best night on the main roster so far.

The win neatly set up this encounter, built fairly robustly after weeks of The OC knocking the former Cruiserweight Champion all over the shop for him daring to mix in their business. Alexander's excellent showing in the King Of The Ring tournament formed just part of a month in which he's clearly been an in-house pet project, but a United States Championship win here feels slightly premature.

What should get him over in spite of the loss is the quality of the match. Based on their brief opener and interactions in the main event on the aforementioned Madison Square Garden show, the two have thrilling chemistry - chemistry that could theoretically feed into tantalising rematches when the time is right for the 'Phenomenal One' to take the fall.

Winner - AJ Styles
