12 Modern WWE Monsters That Didn't Succeed

1. Tensai

The former Albert was whisked back to WWE in 2012 after a successful run in New Japan. Upon his return, Albert would be repackaged as Lord Tensai, an American brawler that journeyed to Japan and was there reborn as an unstoppable monster with something akin to a God complex. Tensai was unleashed shortly after WrestleMania 28, and quickly defeated CM Punk (the reigning WWE Champion) and John Cena in televised matches. Fans weren't buying into the act, mockingly chanting 'Albert!' to express their displeasure with the character. Tensai continued dropping down the card throughout the remainder of 2012, and became Brodus Clay's goofy dancing buddy in early 2013, under the sub-header 'Sweet T'. In early 2014, the real-life Matthew Bloom took to NXT as a highly-articulate announcer, and later as the brand's head coach.
