Ignoring his initial run as The Hurricane's goofy friend, Heidenreich was reborn in 2004 as an uncontrollable lunatic that would attack fans and fellow wrestlers. While he no doubt had the look (as well as some swank Rammstein-esue theme music in which Paul Heyman rhythmically chanted his name), his awkwardness was a negating factor. The infamous segment where he kidnapped Michael Cole, re-enacting the 'Zed and Marsellus' scene from Pulp Fiction with him, made it hard to take Heidenreich seriously. After a mediocre feud with Undertaker, Heidenreich suddenly turned face, marching around with children and reciting silly poetry. He eventually became Animal's partner in an unwanted Legion of Doom reunion. By early-2006, Heidenreich was gone. Bob Holly makes it clear in his book that Heidenreich was unstable outside the ring, and unreliable in the eyes of company officials.
