12 Modern WWE Monsters That Didn't Succeed

9. Matt Morgan

Another legit seven-footer, Morgan dropped out of the second Tough Enough due to injuries, but certainly got another look in developmental on the merit of his frame. Morgan ascended to the main roster for a spell in 2003-04, joining the aforementioned Jones as a heavy of Paul Heyman's. After appearing in the 2004 Royal Rumble match, and getting some moments of shine, Morgan disappeared from the main roster for over a year. Upon returning in the spring of 2005, Morgan was given Bubba Ray Dudley's old stuttering gimmick, a comedic kiss of death for someone that should be taken seriously as a towering figure. Morgan briefly ran interference for an increasingly-popular Carlito before getting released in the summer of 2005. Beginning in 2007, Morgan embarked on a six-year run with TNA, where he was given a little more dignity to work with.
