6. Chris Masters

Chris Masters had one of the most impressive WWE physiques of all time when he debuted in 2005. He was huge and cut, like another version of Batista or Lex Luger, only even bigger. It's no surprise, then, that WWE intended on giving Masters a huge push, and he found himself feuding with the likes of Shawn Michaels and John Cena.

Then, in May 2006, Masters went to drug rehab to battle an addiction of painkillers. When he completed the programme and reported to OVW to get back into ring shape, he was sporting a much different physique. Pictures of Masters looking a lot smaller surfaced online. While most attributed this to him getting off steroids, Masters actually claimed it was because he would jog for miles every morning as part of his rehabilitation programme. When he came back to WWE TV the commentators referred to him as a 'leaner and meaner' Chris Masters, pointing out the loss in size.

That loss in size was further pointed out during a backstage segment with DX. After discussing Eric Bischoff's forthcoming autobiography, Masters said to Triple H that he was thinking about writing a book about nutrition. Triple H responded by asking 'what are you gonna call it? How to lose 50lbs in four weeks?'. It was an unnecessary remark and sent the wrong message to fans. Masters leaned out further over the years, which coincided with a dramatic increase in the quality of his matches. Go figure.
