Now that's more like it. This week's NXT went back to the strengths that have made it such a fun show to watch. They began to build toward big matches, position people into feuds we care about, and continue to push new acts that have the potential to be top players.

The main talking point from the show is the upcoming clash between Finn Bálor and Shinsuke Nakamura, and the Japanese icon spoke of his respect for his opponent as well as his desire to make an impact by defeating the former NXT champion.

Bayley and Alexa Bliss are on a collision course to determine who will face Asuka for the women's title, and The Authors of Pain interjected themselves in the tag title picture by taking out both American Alpha and Ciampa and Gargano, who had a surprisingly solid match with the Hype Bros.

This was an entertaining episode that set the stage for the next big show, TakeOver: Back To Brooklyn, which, while still almost two months away has the potential to be the biggest NXT event yet.

As you can see, WWE Network subscribers continue the pattern of watching the streaming service primarily for the special events, NXT, and original content. Both Swerved and The Edge and Christian Show have proven to be huge draws for the company, and next up is Holy Foley, reportedly set to debut immediately following SummerSlam. Despite the recent massive dump of Nitro and Raw episodes, the archives are an afterthought compared to the current product.
