Looking at Sheamus' track record, it's clear that WWE likes what they see in him. He is a former three-time WWE Champion (four-time world champion), and two of those title victories came at the expense of John Cena, the third from Roman Reigns. In between his second and third WWE Championship reigns, he was credited with knocking Triple H out of action for 10 months, won the 2010 King of the Ring and the 2012 Royal Rumble, won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 28 in 18 seconds, as well as winning the Money In The Bank briefcase in 2015. Needless to say, his career is full of impressive accomplishments that make a WrestleMania main event against Brock Lesnar not that difficult to imagine. Lesnar has clearly been positioned as a fan favorite over the past year, even against The Undertaker when Lesnar was constantly getting low-blowed. Sheamus isn't likely to turn babyface anytime soon and his recent WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign signals that WWE still has faith in the Irishman. A victory over Roman at the Royal Rumble or FastLane in February could position Sheamus as the WWE Champion once again and could position him as ripe for Brock Lesnar's pickings.
