12 Radical Ideas That Could Save WWE Smackdown

8. Advertise On RAW

Just as it makes no sense to advertise the popular, flagship show on Smackdown, it makes perfect sense to advertise the smaller, less well known show on RAW. If you plan and book Smackdown enough in advance, you€™ll be able to tell people what matches are coming up this Thursday (or Friday) - so tell them on RAW. If something remarkable happens on Smackdown, promote it on RAW. In fact, why not have the next part of your mainstay feud actually take place on Smackdown, instead of telling the world, €œthat match will take place next week on Monday night RAW!€ You€™ve got another TV show between now and then. Why aren€™t you using the TV time on the more successful one to promote the TV time on the other, less successful one? Don€™t you want your fans invested in the events on both shows? And €“ if you€™ve completely reinvented the look of Smackdown, as previously discussed €“ then when you show clips of Smackdown on RAW, people will instantly twig the different, fresh dynamic. It€™ll look like a different show, instead of the same show with a less dynamic colour scheme and more boring things happening.
