12 Reasons CM Punk Is The Most Hated Man In WWE Right Now

5. He Can Be A Proper Douchecanoe

WWE.comWWE.comEven Punk€™s best friend Colt Cabana admits that he can be €˜crabby€™. That€™s an understatement, from all reports. Phil Brooks doesn€™t suffer fools gladly and is utterly uninterested in what other people think of him. Back when he was on the roster, he gleefully baited trolls to his Twitter account, banning screeds of people at a time on his worst days. Apparently this extended to his backstage attitude, people often coming away with a first impression that he was a jerk. While people who got to know him better tend to qualify that with stories about what an awesome guy and great friend he could be, it€™s pretty clear that Brooks is a fairly abrasive and irritable guy. Add to that the genuine irritation caused by being disrespected, stalked and molested by the general public on the streets, at the airport, while eating, while urinating€ apparently a favourite tactic of the obnoxious autograph hunter was to yank his headphones off his head to get his attention. Do that to a good-natured guy and see how he reacts. An irascible guy like CM Punk? We're amazed he didn€™t punch anyone out in the departure lounge. Add to that the live occasions in the ring where an off-the-cuff heel promo would get away from him, or when he€™d lose his rag with the crowd€ remember when he actually did go to punch someone out in the crowd at RAW after he thought he€™d been grabbed? There must be hundreds of people with a €˜CM Punk was a douche to me€™ story.
