8. Ryback Injury Is A Worked Angle
One of the stories going into Battleground was Ryback defending his Intercontinental Title against Big Show and The Miz. However, with just a few days before Battleground, wwe.com posted an update which said Ryback was injured. He'd suffered a staph infection in his knee and it required a hospital stay. He's now recovering. But could it all be a worked angle? Could it in fact be a dig at CM Punk, who strongly criticised Ryback last year at the same time as claiming to have a staph infection which WWE missed? Probably not. But this is the WWE, stranger things have happened. Ryback is now recovering, so at the very least, he could be ready for a shock appearance at Battleground after all.
