12 Stars WWE Has No Idea What To Do With

12. The Prime Time Players

Darren Young and Titus O'Neil first made it to television as a unit in 2012 and looked to be on the fast track to the WWE Tag Team Titles. Any plans for that changed, though, when Daniel Bryan and Kane aligned to form Team Hell No and immediately won the belts. The Prime Time Players floundered, and while they regained some momentum after a babyface turn, the team was soon split up. The two feuded briefly, but an ACL tear put Young on the shelf. When he returned in 2015, the team reunited and finally claimed tag team gold, winning the belts from The New Day at Money in the Bank. The New Day would recapture the belts at SummerSlam, though, and since then, The Prime Time Players have been rarely seen. At any given time, the company seems to focus on two tag teams at a time - the champions and their rivals. With The Dudley Boyz now feuding with The New Day, The Prime Time Players have been left out. This lack of direction isn't fair to a great tag team - O'Neil is one of WWE's most charismatic stars, while the leaps and bounds Young has made since his NXT days have made him one of the company's most underrated in-ring talents. Surely a rivalry with another tag team or an alliance with a singles superstar to take on, say, Stardust and the Ascension would be a better use of The Prime Time Players.
