While they occasionally strike gold, there's a good reason why WWE Creative is often regarded as a joke by wrestling fans (there's a parody account on Twitter which actually sums them up pretty much perfectly). It's a moniker which can just as easily apply to the WWE's writers as it can the agents who pull the strings behind the scenes, or even Vince McMahon himself, but the point is that much of what they do is terrible. You need only look at that mess of a storyline between Rusev, Dolph Ziggler, Lana, and Summer Rae to see where I'm coming from here. That kind of awful material aside, it's important to note that WWE Creative's decisions can just as easily kill a Superstar or Diva's career as it can make it. This could involve placing them in scenarios or giving them gimmicks fans are sure to reject, while neglecting them to the point where fickle audience members stop caring about them is another far too common occurrence.
