12 Things We Learned From Braun Strowman On The Steve Austin Show
1. What Are His Goals For His WWE Career?
Steve asks Braun what he would like to achieve during his time in WWE, and predictably he answers that he would eventually like to earn a run with either the WWE World or Universal championships.
He knows he's not ready for that yet and doesn't want to be rushed into that position because he wants to hone his skills as a worker to where people are impressed by the fact that he can go for a big man.
That's what he's working on; not being "just a big guy" but a circus attraction that can smash people as well as work holds.
Austin tells him that it's a hard life and the thing about the job is that it takes a huge physical toll on the body, and regardless of whether it's a work or not you're training and performing like a professional athlete. He wants to know if there's any hesitation on Braun's part or does he feel like he's made the right decision.
"I feel without a doubt this is what I was put on the earth to do."
This was a cool edition of The Steve Austin Show with a guy who hasn't been given much time to show any personality whatsoever or really even speak more than two or three words at a time. Should they ever decide to flesh out his character and let him open up a bit, I think this interview shows that he's clearly capable of doing more on the mic.
Braun was affable and appreciative of the spot he's been given, and most importantly is very aware of his current stage of development and hesitant of being pushed before he's ready, which is refreshing to hear. A lot of guys don't openly speak about their limitations and such humility will probably go a long way in helping advance his career. Hopefully we see the big guy continue to improve and become a real force in WWE.
