12 Things We Learned From The Eighth Wonder Of The World: The True Story Of André The Giant

6. One Of The Many Ludicrous Meals

The Eighth Wonder of the World: The True Story of Andre the Giant
WWE

The food and drink appetite of André the Giant is nearly as legendary as the Eighth Wonder of the World's in-ring career.

While we've all heard the countless tales of André drinking cases of wine before competing in a match, this latest André book gives a glimpse into one of the numerous mammoth meals that the Giant would eat.

During his time working in New Zealand, André is listed as one time ordering:

- A plateful of scallops

- Two bowls of soup

- Pork chow mein

- A second portion of pork chow mein

- Large rump steak, French fries, onions, eggs, and tomatoes

- Peaches and ice cream

- Two bottles of Coca-Cola

- Two cups of coffee

That may sound like complete and utter insanity to anyone else on the planet, yet this was just merely one average meal of several that André Roussimoff would have each and every day of the week. And rarely, this was one of those few meals where André didn't actually have any beer or wine to help wash everything down with.
