6. The Freebirds Were Once Almost Murdered At A Strip Club

Another of the Freebirds' awesome stories sees the team heading to a Texas strip club in 1982, where Michael Hayes ends up playing a Pac-Man machine of all things when he's confronted by a biker, causing Gordy to start a fight with the biker and his buddy.

Hayes and Gordy subdue them easily enough, and Gordy finds out the man he's got pinned down has a wooden leg. They decide to leave, at which point the wooden-legged biker reaches for a gun, and to the Freebirds' terror, the back door they attempted to run through was in fact locked.

Thankfully, though, the wooden leg slows down the gun-toting biker enough that they can flee through the front exit. As they run away, the biker unloads bullets at them, causing Gordy to start giggling, and when Hayes asks him why he's laughing, he says, "'Cause he missed." Cue a well-earned standing ovation for that mental story.
