12 Things You May Have Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 11)

10. John Mayer: Rap Legend

Jonathan Coachman was his usual mundane self last night, and dropped a notable clanger during the Seth Rollins/Elias segment, in which the former 'Drifter' unveiled a guitar he claimed was gifted to him by singer-songwriter John Mayer.

'The Kingslayer' ran Elias out of the ring and smashed the instrument (because of course he did), to which Coachman bleated that "John Mayer is one of the greatest hip-hop artists of our generation." A daft sentence, and 'Coach' doubled down when called out by Corey Graves, comparing the pop-blues artist to Jay-Z.

At this stage, it's hard to tell whether or not Coachman's mindlessness is part of his act or not. He's a practised broadcaster, but deeply uninteresting in the Raw announce booth, and like Booker T before him, 'Coach's' frequent gaffes are his only source of entertainment.
