12 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jul 22)

11. The Deadly Draw

Nightmare Sisters Deadly Draw
AEW

AEW's Deadly Draw women's tag team tournament goes down sometime this summer, with 16 women forming eight teams. The Nightmare Sisters are the first and only confirmed participants though the likes of Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, and Penelope Ford were all featured in the announcement vignette.

The competition's existence is a definite Up. AEW's women's division has made incremental improvements in 2020 though the performers still aren't afforded a great deal of television time. The Deadly Draw will offer increased opportunities and exposure, opening doors that may not have existed otherwise, and if it runs parallel with a Women's Championship programme, women could have a stronger presence on AEW television than ever before.

Such performers can't get over or break out if they aren't on the TNT stage, so fingers crossed this is an effective vehicle for that. It looks like one at the moment.
