12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 11)

RIP Nick Jackson.

Another week, another important night of Blood and Guts build, with All Elite Wrestling upping the stakes as we race towards 25 March and their big take on the classic WarGames stipulation, the rules of which were revealed last night.

This was another successful episode of Dynamite. With one notable exception, everything was delivered with purpose, logic, and good sense. Multiple storylines were pushed forward, sometimes within a single segment, and each of the promotion's biggest players feels like they have a role to play heading towards Blood and Guts, even if it looks like a certain Young Buck won't be strapping his boots on anytime soon. Thanks, Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle.

Last night promised a big main event as Hangman Page and a mystery partner met Jericho and Sammy Guevara. With Kenny Omega's hand in a cast, Matt Jackson was the pre-show favourite, but the problems between him and Hangman aren't going away. Elsewhere, we got Death Triangle's in-ring debut, MJF and The Butcher and the Blade versus Jurassic Express, Cody battling the eccentric Ortiz, and another wonderfully loathsome Britt Baker segment.

While not as explosive as the build to Revolution, Dynamite is still Dynamite. Let's light the fuse...
