12 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Feb 18)

Return to Las Vegas sees continued success of Impact Wrestling's weekly shows.

Following on from last week's historic episode of Impact Wrestling in Mexico, the promotion made their return to Las Vegas for another wonderfully constructed night of Impact action. In terms of the in-ring action on its own, it could easily be classed as an Impact Plus special quality night (not quite as good as a pay-per-view though), with Michael Elgin vs. Eddie Edwards, and Tessa Blanchard, Trey, and Tommy Dreamer vs. Ace Austin and Reno Scum, and TJP vs. Josh Alexander all being entertaining bouts from start to finish.

The thing with Impact is that unlike WWE, they don't suddenly forget about storylines or characters who they're trying to push. While this is a good thing for the most part, it also prevents the shows from being as perfect as they could be. In recent times, the Downs side of things has been a relatively low number, and even then it's usually the same culprits responsible - we're looking at you, Johnny Swinger.

As well as those two wonderful matches mentioned earlier on, Jordynne Grace claimed she would be a fighting champion, Madison Rayne presented the first of her Golden Opportunity Open Challenges, John E. Bravo premiered a 'touching' tribute to the Knockouts Championship reign of Taya Valkyrie, and Impact unveiled their newest signing as Chris Bey. All the yes to that announcement.

There was a lot to get through this week. Let's get to it...
