12 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2021

1. 4-Life

Kenny Omega. The AEW World Champion. On an Impact Wrestling pay-per-view. Wearing Bullet Club merchandise. 2021 is already crazy.

'The Best Bout Machine' teamed with The Good Brothers in the evening's main event as they were victorious over Rich Swann, and Chris Sabin, and Alex Shelley's replacement Moose, a match that had been talked about for weeks for one sole reason; the thought of Omega being in Impact. Coming away, though, the main thought is the performance we saw from Moose.

'Mr. Impact Wrestling', while already a huge name in Impact, busted out all the stops against Omega and co. A standing moonsault, a high corner dropkick, and a goddamn top-rope Spanish fly from a man who stands six foot five, and weighs nearly three hundred pounds simply shouldn't be possible. That he executed all three moves to perfection is a mere insight into how well-rounded a wrestler Moose has become in his four and a half years with the company.

Omega's victory was inevitable. There was no way he was losing here. Keep in mind, though, that it took a Magic Killer, a V-Trigger, and a One-Winged Angel to put down Rich Swann. It wasn't an easy fight for the AEW World Champion to the point Don Callis, the man who's convinced no-one can touch Omega, was overtly afraid at the thought of Omega being pinned on a pay-per-view.

All in all, the main event succeeded in everything it set out to do. We now come away from it wondering when/if Kenny Omega will appear in Impact Wrestling again, as well as how well Impact's creative team handle Moose in the following few months now that he's got this performance under his belt. What a match.

Impact Wrestling is f*cking delightful.
