12 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Jun 25)

Ups...

12. No Time For "Cool Jams"

A fun, lightweight backstage segment went down after the opener, with The Miz out for revenge in his never-ending feud with Shane McMahon.

This led him to Elias. 'The Drifter' was standing guard outside his boss' office, and warned 'The A-Lister' that with Shane still upset about Roman Reigns and The Undertaker, he shouldn't barge in. Miz was willing to take his chances. He called Elias "bootleg Bob Dylan," and found himself wound up as Elias strummed away on his guitar, eventually taking his leave when it was clear Shane wouldn't entertain him.

Out came McMahon, who went all "how do you do, fellow kids?" by complimenting Elias' "cool jams." A 2-out-of-3 falls bout between 'The Drifter' and Miz was then made for later in the evening, with Shane once again throwing one of his meat shields in front of a looming threat.

Nothing out of this world here. Still, it pays to glean every positive you possibly can from WWE TV these days.
