Everyone please stand and show some respect for a true legend in our midst, the first Undisputed Champion and a man who redefined himself and reinvigorated a flagging career in a way that few could have thought possible, Chris Jericho.

Y2J’s returns to WWE in recent years had become less and less special, as he would show up, soak in a few cheers and win a few matches, then put over a few superstars on his way back out on tour with Fozzy. But in 2016, Jericho returned to compete in the Royal Rumble, team and then feud with AJ Styles, battle Dean Ambrose and turn heel in a move that would transform him into a top act once again.

As the aging veteran sidekick to WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Jericho became known for donning an expensive scarf and carrying around a clipboard that he would use to jot down the names of people, places and things that offended him. Dubbed the List of Jericho, the clipboard and Jericho’s catchphrase (“You just made the list!”) became a staple of Raw. In a matter of months, Jericho had turned himself into an integral part of WWE once again.

Here’s hoping that Jericho’s momentum continues well into 2017 and we’re including him on this list again in 12 months.
