We don’t often delve into the smaller things that make wrestling great, but once in a while, you’ve got to give kudos for those instances, because it’s a lost art that should be appreciated when we see it.

Case in point, The Revival had a nice moment at the end of the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match. They managed to eliminated Big E from the bout with a Shatter Machine on the floor, and then headed inside to square off with Xavier Woods, who already had re-aggravated his knee injury.

Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder stood opposite Xavier, and the three had a long staredown, which really set the tone: Woods was on his own, and knew he was no match for The Revival, and they knew they had his number. And then, the beating commenced. Moments later, they hit a Shatter Machine on Woods and locked in a kneebar for the tap-out and the titles.

The little staredown just added something to the match and signaled the end for New Day, which was perfect.
