6. Face? Heel? Who Cares?

Viewers should probably get a scorecard each week letting them know whether Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross are faces or heels, because it seems to change depending on the opposition.

With that in mind, it’s tough to tell whether you should be cheering WWE’s odd couple or rooting against them. The dynamic is an odd one – Bliss originally was perceived as deceiving Cross in an effort to win a women’s championship, but they apparently gelled as friends and a tag team, winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. But there still has been moments where they act heelish, and others where they are clearly the faces, such as when squaring off against Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville.

Rose recently mocked Cross’ appearance, making the champs the good girls by default. This time, it was Bliss, a five-time women’s champion getting beat up, only for Nikki to save the day and pick up the win for her team, getting retribution on Mandy.

If WWE would pick a side of the fence for the tag champs, that would be marvelous. Because it feels like someone different writes their roles each week, rendering them in an eternal swing back and forth.
