12 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2016

12. One Last Time?

OK, admit it, the R-Truth gimmick of confusing events and messing up had long run its course, but Sunday night€™s mishap was actually pretty funny. Truth entered the Rumble at #12 and immediately retrieved a ladder from under the ring, set it up in the center of the ring and climbed. When he got to the top, he looked up at asked, €œWhere€™s the briefcase?€ clearly confusing the Rumble with the Money In The Bank ladder match. He was tossed seconds later for his troubles. The funniest part about it wasn€™t Truth; it was everyone else stopping and watching him set the ladder up and climb. The other wrestlers looked incredulous, but they let him continue. But now, a request: Can the joke be over? It€™s played out, and WWE lucked out that this one was funny. Unfortunately, you just know it€™s going to get beaten to death in the weeks and months to come.
