When Chris Jericho first came to the WWF in 1999, he rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way. Here was this cocky kid from WCW with a ton of in-ring ability, it shouldn't be too surprising that WWF old timers took a bit of a dislike to him. Undertaker was one of those guys, and Jericho's main event push ended up noticeably slowed down in his first months with the WWF. It was a classic case of Taker looking out for the WWF locker room, and putting a slow down on this WCW guy's push. But what really caused the eruption of heat, was Jericho cutting a promo which described The Undertaker as boring. Shawn Michaels was there and told Jericho off backstage. As for Undertaker, he was of course not very happy. Jericho ended up a mid-carder and it wasn't until years later that his main event potential was realised.
