12 Wrestlers Who Retired In 2018

1. Paige

Since announcing her retirement on the Raw 24 hours after WrestleMania 34, Paige has been plagued with questions about an in-ring return. If Daniel Bryan can do it, say reporters, so can she. Unfortunately, that's just not true.

Paige was very clear in a tweet posted on 13 November about her chances of ever wrestling again. Serious neck injuries make it nigh-on impossible, and she's not one to get her hopes up only to suffer crushing disappointment all over again.

The visual of an emotionally shattered and fragile Paige coming to terms with her wrestling dream being over this past April is pretty haunting. Sure, she's got a cushy gig as SmackDown GM now, but it's hardly as satisfying as actively being part of WWE's female revolution would be.
