12 Wrestling Rivalries That Were Too Real To Be Fake

6. Chris Jericho Vs. Goldberg

The heat between Chris Jericho and Goldberg dated back to both men's days in WCW. Chris Jericho was one of the most entertaining members of the company's roster, but still found himself stuck in the undercard.

He engaged in a "feud" with Bill Goldberg that mostly consisted of Jericho calling out the WCW World Heavyweight Champion and beating up a double, but it never went any further than Goldberg spearing Jericho on Nitro.

According to rumour, Goldberg felt that working with Jericho was beneath him.

When Goldberg got to WWE, the two had a confrontation that reportedly ended with Goldberg trying to attack Jericho, and Y2J immobilising "Da Man" with a front facelock.

According to reports, Goldberg began shouting that he would kill Jericho if he let him go, so Jericho kept the hold on until they were separated. There was never any further physical confrontation between the men.

Soon afterward, though, Jericho and Goldberg began feuding on television. In storyline, Jericho led a group of heels who wanted Goldberg out of the company, and the two squared off at, appropriately enough, Bad Blood.

Both men kept it professional throughout the program, and Goldberg beat Jericho to end it.
