12 WWE Monsters Whose Muscles Were Bigger Than Their Skills
12. Mason Ryan
Jacked up Welsh wrestler Mason Ryan spent a few years in WWE's developmental system where many had him pegged as the next Batista. He held the FCW championship for over 6 months while waiting to be called up to the main roster, where he debuted as a member of The New Nexus in a segment with CM Punk that had an uncomfortable undertone of sexual tension. The guy looked like he had all the makings of a megastar. Unfortunately what he didn't have was charisma or much wrestling ability, because once you got past his incredible look there wasn't much left. He toiled around WWE with no significant victories or pushes and was eventually sent back down to developmental. When reports of The Shield's impending breakup began to stir, Ryan was heavily rumored to be the man in line to replace Roman Reigns when he split away from his partners, but that never came to fruition. Instead he was released from his contract just a few weeks ago, and is now accepting independent bookings.
