12 WWE Nightmares That Could Come True In 2026
2. Fans Say ‘No More’ On Ticket Price Increases
It has never been more expensive to attend WWE shows across the board.
WWE/TKO seem to think they can charge whatever the hell they like and people will pay it. In a way, they’re right, because buildings are still selling out and big crowds are the norm even for episodes of Raw or SmackDown, but...surely this isn’t sustainable. Further increases will completely price many out of attending shows, and that's plain stupid from a basic business standpoint.
For most, it’s hard to justify the kind of cash they’re asking for tickets. Put it this way: Fans aren't only being charged premium rates for high-rolling PLEs like WrestleMania or SummerSlam, but also for weekly TV shows which previously offered a comforting, family-friendly price point provided you didn't mind where you were sitting. Those days are pretty much gone, at least for now.
The company looks real greedy these days. They’re in this to make money, obviously, but flagrantly fleecing fans isn’t a good look and won't be something WWE can do forever. Some of the reported ticket prices doing the rounds online for upcoming events are unbelievable, and not in a positive way. How on earth can your average punter shell out as much as $10,000 to attend one wrestling show, not least when they're sitting higher up in the arena/stadium rather than at ringside with extras and the cost of general living has skyrocketed?!
It's madness.
There's a twist to this entry. It's less of a nightmare for fans and more of a headache for WWE/TKO. In short, fans rebelling against this greed would maybe force bosses to change their strategy. Seeing dwindling attendances wouldn't please anybody though; not the money-grabbing corporate types or those who want wrestling to do well.
A middle ground must be struck. Some balance, please.
