11. Most #1 Entries

It might surprise fans to learn that the #1 spot in the Royal Rumble is a pretty popular spot for several superstars. No fewer than seven wrestlers have entered the Rumble first more than once, which means that nearly half of the Rumbles have been started by someone multiple times.

Bret Hart was the first to accomplish the feat, entering #1 in the very first Rumble in 1988, and then again in 1991. Ric Flair had the biggest gap between his two #1 entries, in 1993 and 2007. Shawn Michaels won the Rumble from the #1 spot in 1995, but he wouldn’t have the same luck when he entered first in 2003. Triple H joined his Kliq buddy in 1996 and then again a decade later in 2006.

But the most interesting grouping has to be Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk and the Miz, who cycled through being #1 in six straight years: Ziggler in 2010, Punk in 2011, Miz in 2012, Ziggler in 2013, Punk in 2014 and Miz in 2015. No word on whether that was planned or just worked out that way.

If Triple H, Miz or Ziggler (the only wrestlers with a snowball’s chance of entering the Rumble) happen to enter first, they’d be the first three-peat at #1.
