4. Most Eliminations In A Rumble

A great performance in the Royal Rumble can be a spark for a wrestler’s career. Just ask Kevin Nash, who as Diesel in 1994 tossed seven men and garnered solid chants of support, helping to relaunch his career into the main event.

But Nash is nowhere near the record for eliminations in a single Rumble. Hulk Hogan set the standard in the 30-man Rumble in 1989 with 10 eliminations. That record would stand for 12 years (although “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would tie it in 1997), when Kane tossed 11 men in 2001. Considering that that was more than one-third of the entire field, it seemed as if that record would never be topped.

However, in 2014, Roman Reigns entered his first Royal Rumble and promptly ejected 12 men, en route to finishing runner-up to Batista. It might seem foolish to say that this is a record that will never be broken, but unless WWE bumps the number of entrants back up to 40 again, it’s highly doubtful we’ll see this kind of performance again. Indeed, no one has eliminated more than seven men since then.
