12 WWE Superstars Who Made It Big And Then Just Disappeared
3. Bobby Lashley
Then again, if youre pushed to the moon for your entire two-year WWE career, winning three singles titles, participating in one of the most high-profile matches at a WrestleMania and chasing the WWE Championship immediately before disappearing, then you can probably top most of the other magic acts. Bobby Lashley was treated as a big deal from the moment he walked into WWE and was on his way straight to the top right up until he got injured in mid-2007 and was released six months later. Think about it: Lashley was an active competitor for less than two years in WWE and was U.S. Champion, was in the King of the Ring finals, was ECW World Champion and won a WrestleMania XXIII match that led to Vince McMahon getting shaved bald. Thats a hell of a two-year run. There are plenty of guys who have been on the WWE roster for 10 years and havent achieved half of that. But just like that, Lashley was gone from WWE. His then-girlfriend, Krystal Marshall, had been previously released, and Michael Hayes was accused of making racially charged comments, so that was that for him. Six years later and Lashley is the poster boy for nearly unlimited and unrealized potential in WWE.
