12 WWE Superstars Who Made It Big And Then Just Disappeared

8. The Miz

Miz could almost get a €œditto€ to everything said about R-Truth, with one big addition: He€™s a former WWE Champion who main-evented WrestleMania XXVII and left with the title. Miz also is still fluttering about on WWE television, but he€™s nowhere near the superstar he was in 2010-11. Say what you will about his WWE Championship run, The Miz was capable of making fans hate him something fierce. In some ways, it€™s a shame he was such an afterthought in the John Cena-The Rock feud. He just happened to be the guy holding the title at the time. Awesome Truth revitalized Miz€™s heel career at a time when he could have slid into obscurity after losing the title. But once Awesome Truth ended, so did Miz€™s run at the top of the card. He went from main event in WrestleMania XXVII to a 12-man tag match the following Mania. He has tread water in the midcard since then, picking up a couple Intercontinental Championship reigns and gaining a new finisher, a badly applied figure-four leglock. Miz is definitely still around, still gets decent mic time and is always a couple wins away from title contention, but his fall from grace in 2011-12 was a sight to behold.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
