8. Daniel Bryan (Survivor Series)

What Was It: Some rather simple black trunks (with a little colouring on the side), boots and kick pads Daniel Bryan wore for his back-and-forth brawl with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. That's it, that's all it was.

Why It Was Cool: After years of mixing the colour palette to include blue, red, green, purple and more, Bryan decided to go all dark and moody for Survivors. By choosing black, it was like the once-proud workhorse was preparing for a funeral and knew 75% of the match with Lesnar would see Brock chucking him around like a wet blanket.

The black also sold Daniel's recent heel turn. Here was a man who previously celebrated his favourite sports teams and went for neutral colours that would please everyone. Suddenly, he dispensed with the need to please, went black and (hopefully) won't look back for his major matches.
