13 Essential Tips For Passing A WWE Try-Out

13. Get Ready To Take A Beating

Inevitably, there's a lot of talk about being in peak physical condition and burning through 100 squats without breaking a sweat, but being a WWE star is also just as much about your capacity to work through pain and not give up. Like standing on LEGO and still wanting to play LEGO. Take it from Kevin Owens, who freely admitted in the wake of his successful tryout that he'd incredibly never spent any time flexing his glutes in front of a mirror while pretending to do cardio:

"I had shockingly enough, never been in a gym. I mean I€'ve been in a gym but I€'ve never worked out regularly."

Not entirely sure that "shockingly" is correctly used; after all, his physique does say more of poutine than protein shakes next to some of the other stars. But anyway, that didn't ruin his prospects, because of the size of his cojones:

€"The tryout was hard and physically demanding. They test your resilience and heart. I think that€'s the main thing is they want to see if you want it as much as you say you do. A lot of drills in the ring and a lot of drills in the gym. We went through the entire in-ring training the first day and we were so sore and beat up. Not from being bumped left and right but for hours.€"

So, maybe start preparing by running up the stairs and throwing yourself back down them repeatedly. And remember to smile.
