There is some cause for optimism here (we know).

Beyond the crazy bump that meant nothing before Extreme Rules faded to black, their Steel Cage match meeting didn't accomplish much. Kevin Owens looked like a moron by conspiring to lose to a handcuffed man, and Strowman shrugged off his signature offence to render him as weak as he was thick.

It might be different on Sunday (we know).

The stipulation of the match - Strowman will lose the briefcase if he loses it - requires Kevin Owens to not be as thick as absolute mince. He can't compete with Strowman physically, so must attempt to outwit and goad him into a disqualification. Or run away like a coward for the count-out win. One of the two. Strowman must actually give a toss about winning again, so we should (we know) see a return to the laser-focused f*cker up of sh*t, as opposed to the beefier Big Bully Busick that has undermined his status as RAW's surefire highlight.

It's all dependent on whether Owens' tricks are worth a d*mn. We could and should see Strowman monstrously break through a series of nefarious traps. The match requires a clever layout, but based on the road agents' 2018 form...

Predicted Star Rating: **3/4
