13 Match Star Ratings For WWE Extreme Rules 2019
2. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Vs. Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans - Winners Take All Extreme Rules Match
There's an expression for this sort of development here in England: "Bloody typical".
It was bloody typical that Baron Corbin has never looked more like an entertainingly despicable piece of sh*t than he did here, in his main event exit storyline, months and months after everybody not named Vince McMahon had lost complete interest.
"Piece of sh*t" is the phrase Corbin used to berate Seth Rollins after he blasted his lover Becky Lynch with the End of Days in a ballsy and incredibly dramatic spot scarcely believable in its audacity. If it was a long con, it worked while also being totally birdbrained; WWE went to stupidly convoluted lengths to avoid man-on-woman violence in the televised build, only to subvert everything with an unforgettable moment of heel brilliance.
The wider match was pretty d*mn good given the level of expectation, even if the almost polite adherence to tag team etiquette made no sense within the context of a No Holds Barred match. This sort of plot hole-ridden storytelling plagues and practically defines the worst of LOLWWE in 2019, but once that sh*t was dispensed with, and Rollins and Lynch flew through the air to crash their wildly unpopular opponents through tables, this graduated to fun and dramatic sports entertainment.
