13 Most Emotional WrestleMania Moments

1. Randy Savage Reunites With Elizabeth

Even now, you must have a heart of stone if the aftermath of €œMacho King€ Randy Savage€™s match with The Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 7 doesn€™t well you up. Despite his long history with the ever-lovely Elizabeth, Savage€™s €œMacho King€ heel run saw him with Queen Sherri at his side. Having cost The Ultimate Warrior his WWF Championship against Sgt. Slaughter at the 1991 Royal Rumble, Savage and Warrior would meet in a retirement match at Wrestlemania 7. Even though he hit five of his patented top rope elbow drops on Warrior, Savage lost the match and so lost his career. In the aftermath of the loss, Sherri would berate Randy and eventually end up attacking him. With Miss Elizabeth having already been spotted in the crowd earlier on in the show, Liz hopped the rail and came to Savage€™s aide, fighting off Sherri and finally reuniting with her former beau and real life husband. It was a moment of true emotion, a feel good moment that still brings a tear to the eye of even the most emotionless of wrestling fans. It just felt like a moment of redemption for the Randy Savage character, that he was forgiven for all of the wrong that he had done as he once again embraced the love of his life. Yes, it was a time where wrestling was more €œreal€, but you can see people all through the Los Angeles crowd openly weeping in the ultimate feel good Wrestlemania moment. It's just even more heartbreaking to watch this moment back knowing that both Randy and Elizabeth are no longer with us.
