As the most well-known professional wrestling organisation on the globe, WWE has countless performers at its disposal, each with unique characteristics and abilities, ranging from strength and power, high-flying athleticism, and even being a second/third generation Superstar as part of a wrestling family legacy. I believe it was Triple H who said that talent is the only natural resource that comes through those doors, and its going to keep on coming until WWE decides to close them, which isnt happening any time soon. Although the roster is just oozing talent, with a whole host of characters appearing on Monday Night Raw alone, there are a lot of really gifted performers whose natural ability just isnt reflected in the way theyre booked. These can be younger stars looking for an opportunity to create a legacy for themselves, or even already established stars who just simply havent been afforded the chance to make it to the next level. The following is a list of those Superstars in WWE who have been underused by the creative team. In many cases, that doesnt mean they havent been used at all, but it simply means that their ability in the ring or on the mic is simply too good to be given the spot they have been on the card.
13. The Ascension
Konnor and Viktor are nothing more than enhancement talent for popular tag-teams in WWE right now, and its such a shame that this is where they ended up after such a fantastic run in NXT. The Ascension laid waste to everyone down at Full Sail University, and made quick work of their opponents every night. They were over as hell, with fans chanting along with every punch and slam during their record-breaking reign as NXT Tag-Team Champions. Konnor and Viktor arent the best wrestlers going, but they knew how to play to their strengths in NXT and they did it perfectly. When they debuted on Raw, however, they had their characters changed into way over-exaggerated versions of the previous ones, and many compared them to a poor mans Legion of Doom due to the face-paint and the entrance gear. If The Ascension had been allowed to rule things on the main roster without any shifts in character, they would be one of the most exciting duos in WWE today. Unfortunately, it seems Vince McMahon just wasnt keen on the two.
