13 Things We Learned From Luke Harper On Talk Is Jericho

2. The Ladder Match With Dolph Ziggler

Luke says that in addition to he and Rowan's matched with The Usos his ladder match against Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title is his favorite. When he won the title from Ziggler he thought the match was amazing and came to the back on a high and rather than congratulating him Vince McMahon yelled at him because he didn't speak in a southern accent. Harper says their vision for the Wyatts is that while Bray himself is from the bayou, his followers are worldwide but McMahon doesn't see it that way and wants them to all be southerners. He says he tried to speak with an accent but it didn't work. After winning the title and holding it for about a month he got a text from an agent saying he was going to be dropping the title back to Ziggler in Cleveland, and he says he was "p*ssed" because he felt like he didn't get enough of a chance. He called Ziggler and told him he wanted to go all out and do something special for the match since he was frustrated, and says the two got in the zone and went a little more violent than they initially intended. He talks about how they both got busted open and Vince thought they were dead and calls it a "a very fond memory."
