In regards to what it’s like for a star of his caliber in the top position to be told he’s going to miss significant time, Seth says it’s extremely hard and you’re faced with a lot of different feelings. As the champion, he put a tremendous amount of pressure on himself to go out there and perform at a high level every night as one of the faces of the company, which is why they all get into the business in the first place.

When the choice to continue to do that – something you’ve essentially worked for your entire life – is taken away from you it’s very hard to deal with. He calls it “heartbreaking” how all of the hard work to get to that position can be snatched away in a split second freak accident that’s out of your control.

Seth likens the situation to the love of your life deciding to up and leave you one day, and you come home to an empty house devoid of your significant other and all your belongings and you suddenly realize your life has changed and you’re going to have to start rebuilding it from the bottom up again.

He does add that in the entire 6-7 years he'd been with WWE he hadn't had a break, and while he hated being out, he realizes now that the rest was good for him.
